Responds to a distress call voluntarily and donates his blood

Srinagar, December 13 (KNO) : A police constable saved a child by donating his blood voluntarily after receiving a distress call of blood requirement at Dial 100. A call was received at the control station of Dial 100 and the caller revealed that a child is admitted in ICU of GB Panth Hospital and needs 01 point of AB+ve blood immediately. According to caller they tried a lot but failed to find it and sought the help of police (Dial 100). Keeping in view the severity of the situation the receiver of the distress call constable Mehboob Elahi came ahead and donated the blood to save a precious life of a child. The family members of the child have highly appreciated and lauded the life saving step of the police constable.(KNO)
